Our Mission
In a world of mass production, we seek to reclaim the warmth and charm of wrought metal through unique, custom designs and traditional forging, assembly, and finishing techniques.
Our Goal
Our goal is to bring joy to our clients’ lives by enhancing their living and working spaces with creatively-designed and painstakingly-crafted metal objects forged in the timeless tradition of European metal craftsmen.
Our Philosophy
Our designs combine the strength of the underlying materials with the delicacy that strength affords, resulting in whimsical, sumptuous curves and gradual tapers that, while labor-intensive, add to the ultimate charm and beauty of the work.
Our History
Józef Custom Ironworks began in 1994 with the vision of unique designs, quality craftsmanship and uncompromising integrity. With time, we increased the use of bronze to offer our clients a range of beautiful patina finishes and for the metal’s superior corrosion resistance to the elements.
How we work
Our projects typically begin with a meeting or call in which we discuss the client’s structural requirements and stylistic preferences.
How we work
We then produce several design suggestions. This process is often iterative, as we incorporate client feedback. Upon client approval, the forging and fabrication begin.
The installation is the final touch in this creative process. Our experienced installation crew fits and anchors the work into place, leaving an artful piece of metal that will enhance the surrounding space for many years to come.
